Ever since I learned about BPI Express Deposit Machine, I have never lined up again in the bank to deposit money over the counter.
The BPI Express Deposit Machine is really convenient. It’s also very easy to use. In less than a minute, I can deposit money immediately to my personal account or to other BPI accounts, with or without ATM card.
With BPI Express Deposit Machine:
- You don’t need to fill out a deposit form
- You don’t need to use a cash envelope
- You don’t even need the actual ATM card to deposit
This sophisticated cash deposit machine, also called Cash Accept Machine, will allow you to deposit cash to any BPI account and it will be credited to the recipient account real-time.
Please note though that there are two types of BPI Express Deposit Machine. One is for BPI and the other one is for BPI Family Savings.
- If you are going to deposit to a BPI Savings account, make sure you use the cash accept machine with BPI.
- If you are going to deposit to a BPI Family Savings account, make sure you use the cash accept machine with BPI Family.
If you are not sure, check your ATM card or ask the cardholder if it’s BPI or BPI Family. As for the machine, you’ll see it on top of the machine or at the BPI branch whether it’s BPI or BPI Family. You may also ask the Guard on Duty or the bank officer about it.
This is important because you cannot deposit money if you’re at the wrong deposit machine or bank.
How to Deposit Using the BPI Express Deposit Machine
IF YOU HAVE THE BPI ATM CARD
- Go to the nearest BPI or BPI Family branch that has BPI Express Deposit Machine. (Click here to see the locations).
- Insert the BPI ATM Card and follow the instructions on the screen
- Select Express Deposit
- Select the account type (Current/Checking or Savings)
- Insert your cash (Make sure your bills are not crumpled or broken)
- Check the details of your deposit
- Select Deposit if you want to push through with the transaction
- Select Add Cash if you want to add more cash
- Select RETURN if you want to cancel the transaction and the money will be ejected from the reject unit slot.
- Get the receipt of the deposit and keep it as it is the proof that the deposit was successful.
- Remove your card from the machine.
- To check your account balance and to see if the deposit was successful, select the option for balance inquiry.
IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE BPI ATM CARD
- Go to the nearest BPI or BPI Family branch that has BPI Express Deposit Machine
- Since you don’t have the ATM card, just press ENTER.
- Select Express Deposit
- Select the type of bank where you want the money to be deposited (BPI, BPI Family, or BPI Direct)
- Select the account type (Current/Checking or Savings)
- Enter the 10-digit Card Number which is located at the front of the ATM card right after the first 6 digits of the card.
- Enter the 2-digit JAI or Joint Account Indicator which is located at the bottom right part of the ATM card.
- Insert your cash (Make sure your bills are not crumpled or broken)
- Check the details of your deposit
- Select Deposit if you want to push through with the transaction
- Select Add Cash if you want to add more cash
- Select RETURN if you want to cancel the transaction and the money will be ejected from the reject unit slot.
- Get the receipt of the deposit and keep it as it is the proof that the deposit was successful.
- To check the account’s balance and to see if the deposit was successful, the cardholder may check the balance through the following options:
- BPI Express Online
- BPI Mobile Banking app
- Or at the nearest ATM machine
The BPI Cash Accept Machine can also provide the following services:
- Balance Inquiry
- Funds Transfer
- Bills Payment
- Prepaid Cellphone Reloading (Globe and Touch Mobile)
- Prepaid Card/ Express Cash Reloading
Tips to Successfully Deposit Money in the BPI Cash Accept Machine
- Follow the on-screen instructions carefully
- The ATM Card number is not the same as the account number. The card number is located at the front of the card, while the account number is located at the back.
- The JAI is not your PIN. It’s the 2-digit number located at the front of the card, at the lower right part.
- Your bills must not be crumpled, folded, or broken. Otherwise, the machine will not accept it.
- The machine accepts 100, 500, and 1000 Philippine peso bills.
- If you bills are in good condition, but the machine won’t still accept it, try changing the position when inserting the cash to the machine.
- Bring extra bills (if you have) so that you can try them too in case some bills are not accepted. Or, you may have it exchanged at the bank’s teller.
- Always double check the amount and account number before confirming the transaction.
- Sometimes, BPI express deposit machines are offline. There’s nothing you can do about it, but here’s my TIP:
- Before you go to the bank or even when you’re already at the bank, login to your BPI Express Online account, schedule an appointment, and get an Electronic Queue Number via BPI Express Assist Online.
- Electronic Queue Numbers are prioritized and they will be shown on the Queue Screen within 30 minutes. This will lessen your waiting time if you decide to deposit over-the-counter.
- I always do this before going to the cash accept machine. And when it’s offline, I can deposit the money immediately over-the-counter.
How to Get Electronic Queue Number via BPI Express Assist Online (BEA Online)
- Go to https://bpiexpressonline.com
- Login using your User ID and Password
- Once logged in, hover your mouse cursor to Other Services in the main menu, then click BPI Express Assist Online.
- To schedule an appointment, select your preferred branch, appointment date, and time on the drop-down menu. Click Confirm to continue.
- Choose the Type of Transaction and Submit Details.
- Write down or print your queue number.
- Show up for your appointment at your chosen branch.
- You Electronic Queue Number will be shown within 30 of your schedule. Once it’s shown or called, go to the bank teller. She will verify your transaction details and will process it accordingly.

What should I do when the amount I deposited is not credited to my account?
- You should file a complaint report thru a branch or call BPI Hotline (02) 89-100.
- For reports outside Metro Manila, you can contact BPI toll free number 1800-188-89100.
What should I do if I erroneously deposited the money to a different account?
- You should immediately contact your branch of account.
What should I do if I discovered that one of my bills are counterfeit or fake?
- Verify it with the bank teller, and if it’s proven to be fake, surrender it.
