How to Open BDO Joint Account

Whether you are a newly married couple and you want to keep your savings under one account or you want to save money with a group of friends, having a joint account is the way to go.

With an initial deposit of Php 10,000 and same amount for maintaining balance, opening a joint account with BDO is really easy and simple.

Just prepare the requirements and go to the nearest BDO branch with your spouse or friends or whoever is included in the joint account and everything should go smoothly.

Requirements for Banco De Oro Joint Account Opening

• 2 valid IDs (original & photocopy)
• TIN (Tax Identification Number)
• Telephone (Landline Number)
• Initial Deposit
• 1×1 or 2×2 picture

• Philippine Passport
• Driver’s License with validated O.R. from LTO
• R.C. ID / License
• Philippine POSTAL ID Card
• Government Service and Insurance System (GSIS) UMID / Unified Multipurpose ID Card
• New Social Security System (SSS) ID with picture
• Voter’s ID
• Senior Citizen ID Card
• Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF)
• OFW Card with picture issued by POEA
• Overseas Worker’s Welfare Administration (OWWA) ID Card
• Seaman’s Book
• Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)
• Philippine National Police (PNP)
• Integrated Bard of the Philippines (IBP) ID
• Certification from the National Council for the Welfare of Disabled Persons (NCWDP)
• of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Certification

Steps to Open BDO Joint Account

Step 1 – Go to the nearest BDO Unibank branch in your area /address

Step 2 – Get a copy of the BDO Joint Account Opening Form from the BDO bank officer and fill it out with the required information and affix your signatures

Step 3 – The bank officer will call your landline to verify if you currently reside or work there.

Step 4 – The bank officer will take a photo of you using their computer’s camera/webcam.

Step 5 – The bank officer will ask if you want it AND or OR for the joint account, with the premise that:

• If it’s OR, either one of you can withdraw from that account without the other’s signature.
• If it’s OR, both of you will receive an ATM card
• If it’s AND, neither of you can withdraw without the other person’s signature.
• If it’s AND, both of you need to go to the bank together to withdraw money.
• If it’s AND, only the Passbook will be given NO ATM Card.

Step 6 – Deposit the Initial Fund of your BDO Joint Account

Other Details about BDO Joint Account

1. Initial Deposit is Php 10,000
2. Maintaining Balance is Php 10,000
3. For Withdrawals,
   • No withdrawal fee if done at the branch of account.
   • Php 100 withdrawal fee if done with other branches within Metro Manila
   • Php 200 withdrawal fee if done outside Metro Manila
4. For Deposits,
   • No fee if within Metro Manila
   • Php 50 if outside Metro Manila
   • Only cash deposits are allowed for BDO Joint Account (you need to submit additional requirements to be able to deposit check payments)
